Still Here

I explore a hospitality identity that makes room for atmosphere while keeping the next practical decision clear.

The central idea

My self-written hospitality brief connects discovery, room consideration and arrival through a consistent, useful welcome.

Designed for
I imagine travellers seeking material, space and a slower pace in a design-led stay. This audience is unvalidated.
Scope of this study
Independent brand direction · Hospitality identity · Editorial art direction · Digital experience proposal
What is shown
I present one courtyard image and original SVG identity and campaign boards. The property is fictional and unbuilt; the work represents no operating hotel, live booking journey or measured conversion result.

Turn a feeling into a welcome

I begin with the gap between imagining and choosing a stay. A quiet courtyard creates anticipation while leaving questions about rooms, access and reservations unanswered. My brief holds both needs together. The visual world should invite interest and remain useful when someone simply needs a room detail or arrival instruction. Calm cannot depend on hiding essential information.

02 / Thinking, evidence & concepts

Making the thinking visible.

These visual studies explore a design hypothesis. No interviews, usability tests or commercial outcomes are claimed.

Warmth with one interruption

I take the courtyard as the starting point: travertine, terracotta and water create a measured setting; the cobalt chair interrupts it with personality. My proposed identity repeats that balance rather than repeating the whole image. Editorial type and generous margins carry atmosphere. A plain sans serif and consistent labels handle practical information, with contrast testing needed wherever cobalt carries text.

03 / Solidified direction

An unhurried and useful welcome

I connect a calm material atmosphere with the practical questions behind choosing a stay. Spacious editorial composition and one cobalt interruption give the identity character, while a quieter information layer should support rooms and arrival details. Calm is useful only if it does not conceal the information someone needs.

Creative direction / Decisions

The choices behind the work.

  1. Concentrate the personality

I use cobalt as one saturated accent within a warm palette. It creates a memorable focus, but loses that role if every image, surface and interaction carries it at full strength.

  2. Make practical choices direct

I let editorial imagery establish atmosphere, then use explicit labels for room and reservation information. The practical pages become more structured than a campaign spread, in service of an easier decision.

  3. Translate materials into relationships

I carry stone, fabric and water into colour, spacing and image crops. This extends the identity without claiming finished interiors; architectural specifications would require a separate development process.

04 / Final result & next test

A coherent concept. An honest next step.

A courtyard concept image and original identity and campaign boards establish the hospitality direction. The property is fictional and unbuilt; this is not an operating hotel, a live booking journey or a measured conversion result.

Follow the journey past discovery

I would next prototype a short journey from discovering the property to comparing a room and reading arrival details. My questions concern what people can find and understand, not simply whether they like the atmosphere. Hospitality and accessibility specialists would need to review the content. Room differences, booking labels and operational requirements remain proposals awaiting validation.

What I would evaluate next

I would prototype discovery, room comparison and arrival information with clearly marked sample content. Findability, access information and readability need evaluation before any claim about booking confidence.

Motion treatments and further production remain planned. The static work above is the current deliverable.
